FAQ

What’s different between Microblading and Microshading and Ombre Powder Brows

Microblading is a technique with hand tool to create the most fine hairstroke and natural look

Microshading is a combination of hand and machine method .The inner brow is microbladed  with hairstrokes while the tails are powdered to achieve the prefect definition. Hair strokes are also added around the outer line if the arch to soften.

Is it like a Tattoo?

Yes. Pigment is inserted into the skin (the dermis). The main differences between a body tattoo and a Cosmetic Tattoo are the type of machine used and the depth of the implant. A Cosmetic Tattoo digital or rotary machine is smaller, lighter and less powerful than the traditional Coil Machine. And a Cosmetic Tattoo usually doesn’t go quite as deep as a body tattoo.

A Cosmetic Tattoo Artist should also understand the skin, facial structure, and have experience with make-up and design, and have a variety of suitable colours and mixes to work on the face for successful long-term results.

How is my new Cosmetic Brow Tattoo shape chosen?

we will always guide you as to what is best for you and together you will confirm your new shape which is tailored to suit your desires, face and bone structure measurements.

Will I get to see the shape and colour of my new Cosmetic Brow Tattoo before tattooing commences?

YES!!! No cosmetic tattoo will commence until we and (especially) you are both happy with the proposed shape.

Is Cosmetic Tattoo permanent?

Cosmetic tattoo is a semi-permanent makeup (SPMU) procedure designed to fade over time, however it is possible that there may always be some evidence remaining that the skin has previously been tattooed. This is somewhat unpredictable and depends on many varying factors including client skin type/ condition, client aftercare and tattooist skill.

Does it hurt?

Pain during treatment is relative . with  Microblading we want to make sure that we can feel your skin to control the depth and for  the hair stroke heal out as much precise as possible. That’s why  we don’t prefer pre-numb because that is when your skin soak too much water underneath of the skin and the skin getting a bit tough then it  might not give you the best heal result. But we do pre-numb with Ombres Powder Brows as this will go a bit deeper and the main point is making pigment to blended in evenly.

Most of our clients compare the pain to the one they feel when plucking eyebrows. It is possible to use mild anaesthetics liquid that can entirely eliminate the pain during the treatment.  however you may feel the need to sneeze or your eyes may become sensitive.

Is it normal to be nervous?

Absolutely, some clients attend their appointment highly nervous but also very excited. Try and ask yourself what is causing your nerves (the commitment, the unknown of the procedure, the “what if” it doesn’t turn out how I want, the pain/sensation). Once you have identified the cause of your nerves, you can then research and get prepared, this is one of the best techniques to calm your nerves!

How long does it last?

There is no exact answer. There are far too many varying factors to be able to pinpoint an exact timeframe (ie skin type, client aftercare, tattooist skill, activities including sweat/exercise/swimming, method of cosmetic tattoo used, pigment colour chosen, quality of the brand of pigment line used). Aim to have annual refreshers between 12-18months.

Can I wear makeup after my Cosmetic Tattoo appointment?

you can wear makeup on all areas of the face except the Cosmetic Tattoo area itself. You will need to wait a minimum of 14 days before applying makeup on the tattoo site

What to expect after procedure?

Entire healing process will take from 4-8 weeks depending on your body regeneration and age. Your treated area will go through several phases during the healing cycle.

The pigment will appear very natural looking immediately after the procedure. The colour and size of your treated atere will appear much darker and thicker the next day.

Note that because of natural skin regeneration, after recovery period (peeling), the colour  might appear lighter than original. This might give you the impression that color is fading too quickly. Often even with proper care, customer develop bald spots or lose colour which make it  look uneven. It is absolutely normal. Once the healing of the skin starts taking place, it will look like dandruff flakes or dry skin. However, this is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows. The final look of your eyebrows will be apparent approximately 30 days after your procedure.

Will Black pigments stay black?

  • All blacks will eventually look a little blue-ish or grey-ish. This could be immediately after the healing process, or after months or even years later. This will happen on both body tattoos and Cosmetic Tattoos.
  • It is for this reason that I do not use black alone on Eyebrows or Beauty Spots! Brown and orange are mixed with black to give a more natural long term colour. The darker the skin tone, particularly olive skin, the less obvious black pigment will appear, and the more chance it has of throwing a blue hue.
