ELIGIBILITY CHECK
At PD Artistry, your safety and the efficacy of our procedures are paramount. We adhere to strict eligibility criteria to ensure that our clients receive the best possible outcomes. Kindly review the following guidelines carefully, as they are essential for your own health and safety. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us for further consultation, or consult your GP or a specialist before booking.
General Eligibility:
- Age: We do not perform tattoo treatments on individuals under 18 years of age or those under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.
- Pregnancy/Breastfeeding: We advise against tattooing during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. It is recommended to wait at least six months after giving birth and ceasing breastfeeding to ensure proper healing and hormone rebalancing.
- Existing Tattoo: Please contact us for consultation, and provide a clear, close-up photo of the area (makeup-free). In some cases, an in-person consultation may be required before booking.
- HIV/AIDS: Consult your Medical Practitioner to obtain a Medical Certificate, clearing you for the treatment.
- Haemophilia (Unstoppable Bleeding): Unfortunately, we cannot perform tattoo services on individuals with haemophilia due to increased bleeding, which may lead to uneven ink distribution.
- Hepatitis A, B, C, D, E: Consult your Medical Practitioner and obtain a Medical Certificate clearing you for the treatment.
- Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT): HRT or hormonal medications may affect pigment retention and color. Please consult with your Medical Practitioner for guidance.
- Autoimmune Disease: Eligibility varies depending on the type of autoimmune disease. Consult your Medical Practitioner to obtain a Medical Certificate.
- Epilepsy: While treatment can be done, we recommend consulting with your Medical Practitioner for the best advice and obtaining a Medical Certificate.
- Cancer/Chemotherapy/Radiation: Unless controlled, please obtain a letter from your doctor.
Specific Eligibility for Eyeliner and Lips Tattooing:
- Eye Lasik or Surgery: At least a six-month waiting period is required. Consult your Medical Practitioner to ensure the safety of the treatment.
- Topical Hair Growth Serums: Refrain from using these products for at least 4-6 weeks before your cosmetic tattoo appointment due to the risk of pigment loss or color change.
- Several Veins in and Around Your Eyelids: Tattooing may not be suitable for highly vascular eyelids. Please send clear, focused photos of the area for evaluation.
Lips Tattooing Additional Eligibility:
- Cold Sores/Herpes Simplex: It is recommended to take lysine or a cold sore preventative 7 to 10 days before your appointment to reduce the risk of cold sore outbreaks.
- Fitzpatrick Color Scale: Darker skin types have a higher risk of hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation. For a further consultation, please send a photo or arrange an appointment before booking.
On the Day of Your Appointment:
- Do not wear makeup on the treated area.
- Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, or heavy sweating on the day of the procedure.
- Do not wax or tint the area before your PMU appointment.
- Avoid alcohol, caffeine, or energy drinks 24 hours before the procedure.
Eyeliner Booking:
- Do not wear contact lenses or eyelash extensions on the appointment day.
These requirements are in place to minimize excessive bleeding and ensure proper color deposit. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities.
